(Submitted News) Tuff has entered its 25th year and still has fans everywhere. The band returns to their Sunset Strip stomping grounds with old friends and a recently reunited Wildside on Saturday February 27th 2010 at the world famous "Roxy Theatre" in Hollywood.

TUFF also has future plans to do an Anniversary re-recording celebrating 20 years since "What Comes Around Goes Around" which was originally released in 1991 (Atlantic Records). Stay tuned.

The band's staying power has been helped by a surge of younger fans who have learned about the band through the internet. That coupled with their global juggernaut smash "American Hair Band" hitting the airwaves. Oddly enough that was almost a decade ago (the track appears on "The History of Tuff" RLS Records released May 2001). The song at one point saw regular rotation on over 100 major radio outlets in North America. Almost unheard for an 80s band, not to mention without any record label support. To date, the spins have not let up. The track is more popular than ever and has become a classic to many old and new fans alike. HAIR NATION (XM-SIRIUS SATELITE RADIO) on-air personalities are quoted as saying: "American Hair Band by TUFF is by far our #1 most requested song."

"We just want to play music and enjoy what (little) success we did have. It's been many years since we were in any way relevant to the real music industry but we still have fans and that's what matters most. We have seen it first hand in Brazil, Australia, Italy, Spain, Germany, Switzerland, Mexico & The UK. All in the last few years and Sweden is next. We play the STOCKHOLM ROCKOUT FESTIVAL in April and cannot wait!" says lead singer Stevie Rachelle.

TUFF originally formed in Phoenix and played some of its earliest shows with a then local Hollywood band called POISON. Todd "Chase" Chaisson who co-founded TUFF remembers the early days: "Opening for POISON in 1985 was instrumental in our development. We became friends, met their manager, publicist and learned a lot. Next thing you know we moved to Hollywood. This was strongly encouraged by Bret Michaels himself who even offered to give us some furniture if I didn't kick his bass player's ass (Bobby Dall) for banging my girlfriend that night. He was screwing her while I was giving Bret an insulin shot. Crazy times and a true story. Now it's 2010 and I get to play music I love, with the guys who I consider family. The fans have been great and I hope it comes around, goes around, and goes around some more."
