Stone Temple Pilots have completed their comeback album, the band's first since 2001. Scott Weiland tells Spinner that STP just finished mastering the record and revealed that they are putting their own music festival together. more

The Rock Hall is in Cleveland but you can't very well have a high-priced decidedly un-rock n' roll black tie event there, so the "gala" will take place in NYC on March 15th. We now know who will induct this year's class. Here you go: Green Day's Billie Joe Armstrong will induct The Stooges, Phish's Trey Anastasio will induct Genesis, Wyclef Jean will induct Jimmy Cliff, Barry and Robin Gibb will induct ABBA and Jackson Browne will induct David Geffen.

Music company EMI wants to retain ownership of the Abbey Road recording studios, immortalized by the Beatles album of the same name, though it is talking to other parties about revitalizing the site, EMI said on Sunday more

Following the untimely death last week of The Knack's Doug Fieger, producers of the syndicated Nights With Alice Cooper radio show have scheduled a re-broadcast of an interview that first aired on August 2, 2006. Alice and Doug, both Detroit natives, had long shared mutual admiration so the encounter was especially warm. It will air worldwide on Monday, February 22nd.
