Here is the recap: If you were wondering why the recent reunion of Led Zeppelin with a new singer didn't come off, Rock Radio has the answer: Led Zeppelin drummer Jason Bonham says the band got "as close as you could get" to touring without singer Robert Plant after their reunion show in 2007 � but they weren't going to hit the road with Alter Bridge singer Myles Kennedy.

Kennedy, currently touring with Slash and rumoured to be in the frame for the vacant Velvet Revolver job, was thought to have been the man chosen after Plant decided he didn't want to tour.

The project was abandoned for undisclosed reasons � but now Bonham, son of original Zep drummer John, reveals it was due to a disagreement between Jimmy Page and John Paul Jones, and that Kennedy was already out of the picture by then. - a lot more here
