Summerfest Kicks Off This Week

Summerfest is set to kick off this week (June 24th) and will run until July, 4th. During that time over 700 bands from around the world will take to the 11 Summerfest stages. Here is the info organizers sent over:

Fans can purchase tickets to 11 outstanding shows at the 23,000 seat Marcus Amphitheater including Tim McGraw with Special Guests Lady Antebellum and Love and Theft, Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers with Special Guest ZZ Top, Justin Bieber with Special Guest Sean Kingston, Brooks & Dunn with Special Guests Gary Allan and Kellie Pickler, Eric Clapton with Special Guest Roger Daltry, Usher, Santana with Special Guest Steve Winwood, American Idols Live!, RUSH and Carrie Underwood with Special Guest Sons of Sylvia.

Blending pop, rock and country into her unique sound, 9-time Grammy Award winner, Sheryl Crow will headline June 24, featuring hits like "Leaving Las Vegas" and "All I Wanna Do". Arguably one of the most innovative hip hop groups of their time, Public Enemy will appear June 25. Pop sensation Colbie Caillat will appear June 24, performing hits like "Bubbly" and "The Little Things". Reggae and rap metal fusion band 311 will perform on June 25. Hailed as one of the most influential lead guitarists in rock, Jeff Beck will appear on June 25. International DJ and techno-production duo, Thievery Corporation will appear on June 26. Country singer and songwriter, Phil Vassar will headline June 26, performing songs like "Carlene" and "Last Day of My Life". Independent instrumental artists, Sound Tribe Sector 9 (STS9) will perform June 29. The legendary Moody Blues will headline June 30, featuring songs like "Go Now" and "In Your Wildest Dreams". As part of the "British Invasion", their career spans more than 45 years. Chicago-based rock trio and family band, Chevelle will perform on June 30. The Brooklyn quintet hailed as the quintessential bar band of the early 21st century, The Hold Steady will perform on July 1. Alt-metal band from Kansas City, Puddle of Mudd will headline June 30, performing hits like "She Hates Me", "Control" and "Life on Display".

Known for hits like "Mr. Jones" and "Accidentally in Love", Counting Crows will perform on July 3. Country Superstar Dierks Bentley will perform on June 25 singing favorites like "What Was I Thinkin'", "Free & Easy" and "Sideways". Punk Band The Offspring will rock Summerfest on July 1 with hits "Come Out and Play" and "Pretty Fly (for a White Guy). American Funk & Soul band Robert Randolph and the Family Band will play on June 27. R&B sensation Mint Condition will perform on June 28. Their hit list includes "Breakin' My Heart", "U Send me Swingin'", "So Fine" and more. Currently popular in the club scene, hip hop artist Pitbull will be performing hits like "Culo" and "Back Up" on June 28. Singer, songwriter, satirist Weird Al Yankovic will perform on June 29. Known for their live performances, alternative rock band Guster will rock Summerfest on June 29. Pioneer hip hop quartet, Cypress Hill will perform on June 29. Cypress Hill is known for breaking down musical and cultural barriers between hip hop, alternative, metal, rock, reggae, ska and Latin music. They are one of the most important and seminal acts of the past 20 years.

Known best for their anthem "Rock You Like a Hurricane" and ballad "Wind of Change," German rockers, The Scorpions will headline on July 2. Milwaukee's own Danny Gokey will headline July 4. One of the top indie rock acts of the decade, The Bravery will headline July 2. Modest Mouse, known for their popular single "Float On", will perform July 3. O.A.R. (Of a Revolution) returns to Summerfest on July 1 with their high energy show and jam band sound. Masters of the live "hip-hop band" philosophy, The Roots will appear on July 1. Kool & The Gang has performed continuously for the past 35 years, longer than any R&B group in history. They will grace Summerfest performing hits like Celebration, Cherish & Jungle Boogie on June 24. Metalcore band, The Devil Wears Prada, will headline July 2. Undoubtedly the most famous reggae band of all-time, The Wailers will headline on June 24. Pioneer punk rocker who's life story is being featured in the new movie, "The Runaways", Joan Jett and The Blackhearts will be performing hits like "I Love Rock 'n Roll", "Crimson and Clover" and "Do You Want To Touch Me" on July 1.

Other Summerfest 2010 Grounds Stage Headliners include Lovehammers, Night Ranger, Passion Pit, Tokyo Police Club, The Gracious Few, Skillet, Wang Chung, Uriah Heep, Cage The Elephant, Less Than Jake, The Gufs, B.B. King, Nonpoint, Neon Trees, Gavin Rossdale, Blue Oyster Cult, Saliva,.38 Special, Papa Roach, Umphrey's McGee, Cameo, the B-52s, N.E.R.D., YES, Peter Frampton, DEVO, Tito Nieves, Average White Band, Silversun Pickups and many more!

Summerfest delivers an unforgettable live music experience for festival-goers at an amazingly low price. General Admission Tickets are only $15 and Weekday tickets (valid noon � 4:00pm) are only $8. The value continues with a "3 for $33" multi-day pass, valid for one general admission per day on three different days of the festival ($45 value).

They can scroll through the entire Summerfest lineup by day or by stage and add or remove performances to their "must see" schedule as well as click on the individual performer to connect with the artist's website and music. There is also an option to click and see who is playing "on stage right now" and a festival map to help patrons navigate the Summerfest grounds.

Summerfest 2010 will take place June 24 � July 4 from noon until midnight daily.
