Weezer Represent US Soccer Federation With New World Cup Inspired Video
. The band, led by rabid soccer fan Rivers Cuomo, wrote and recorded the track to be used as the "unofficial theme song" for the US men's soccer team, and to commemorate the historic 2010 rematch of US vs. England in the FIFA World Cup- the first time the two teams have gone head-to-head since 1950. The song can be streamed at http://www.weezer.com. The video and an interview with Cuomo premiered at ussoccer.org as part of their Studio 90 series on Wednesday June 23rd.
