Infected Mushroom Offering Record Store Day Treat for Perry Farrell Fans

Infected Mushroom have announced their participation in this year's official Record Store Day with the exclusive import of the Killing Time Remix EP, a five-song collection of brand new versions of the track "Killing Time" from their latest album Legend Of The Black Shawarma.

Featuring hypnotic vocals from alt-rock trailblazer Perry Farrell, "Killing Time" is a bare, slow-burning anthem that epitomizes Infected Mushroom's brand of electronic rock, mixing heavy synths and digitized drums.

The Killing Time EP features remixes from music giant Paul Oakenfold (whose Perfecto Records released Legend of the Black Shawarma), Israeli psy-trance artist Astrix, English trance producer John "00" Fleming, and Infected Mushroom themselves.

The EP, an exclusive import from the band's native Israel, will be available at numerous independent record stores participating in Record Store Day Saturday, April 17, a day before the band is set to take the stage at the Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival, where they will appear in the Sahara tent (INFECTED MUSHROOM also appeared at Coachella in 2007). ABOUT INFECTED MUSHROOM:
Psy-Trance innovators INFECTED MUSHROOM have become one of the biggest electronic bands on the planet. Twice ranked among the world's 10 best DJs by the bible of the scene, the U.K.'s DJ Magazine, the Israel-bred, L.A.-based duo bring a frenetic rock energy to the form. Their explosive show, featuring guitars, live drums, intensely passionate vocals and an ambitious multimedia backdrop, ranks among the genre's most unpredictably joyous events. And their recordings continually venture where other electronic acts fear to tread. Amit "Duvdev" Duvedevani and Erez Eisen worked for nearly two years on their aggressive new album, LEGEND OF THE BLACK SHAWARMA, their first since 2007's critically acclaimed Vicious Delicious, for dance-music visionary Paul Oakenfolds Perfecto label. Duvdev describes the album, recorded at INFECTED MUSHROOM Laboratory in L.A. and in stores now, as a return to the pair's metal roots. Guests on the album include Jonathan Davis of Korn and Perry Farrell of Jane's Addiction.
