The single debuted April 30 on MySpace Music, and instantly became the biggest premiere of 2010. On Top 40 radio stations, "Can't Be Tamed" was the # 1 most added single in its first week, with more than 100 stations now playing the single.

The worldwide premiere of Miley's "Can't Be Tamed" video on E! News May 4 garnered impressive ratings on television and at E!Online.com. It also reached # 1 on MySpace and Vevo.

"Can't Be Tamed" is a self-empowering song in which Miley asserts that she has to stay true to herself in relationships, and is already becoming an anthem among her legions of fans around the world.
