Treme Musical Performances Screening
. These performances, produced by Karen L. Thorson and directed by Anthony Hemingway, will be shown at the Hall of Fame's Foster Theater on Tuesday, November 9th at 7 pm. The screening of performances by Elvis Costello & Allen Toussaint ("The Greatest Love") Irma Thomas & Dave Bartholomew ("Time Is On My Side"), Kermit Ruffins & The Barbecue Swingers ("Skokiaan"), John Mooney & Soul Rebels ("Poison"), John Boutte & Glen David Andrews ("At The Foot of Canal Street"), Steve Earle & Lucia Miracelli ("Gold Watch and Chain") will be preceded by introductory remarks from series co-creator David Simon, filmed on location in New Orleans where work on the series' second season has begun. The evening is part of the Hall of Fame's American Music Masters program celebrating New Orleans' own Fats Domino and Dave Bartholomew. The Treme performances will, appropriately, be followed by a screening of Fats Domino Live at Austin City Limits, a one-hour live performance from 1986.
