(Gibson) Scottish rockers Teenage Fanclub are in the midst of an American tour, with a European leg of the tour scheduled through the end of the year. The road work is in support of a new album, Shadows, the group's first new release in five years.

In a recent interview, band members Norman Blake and Raymond McGinley explained that part of the band's success can be attributed to the members' keen lack of interest in any other day jobs.

"I've never had a job ever," McGinley told LARecord.com. "I was a paper boy the only job I've ever had. If you've never had gainful employment, you get used to not having money. As soon as you get used to having money, it gets difficult. For a while, we didn't have any money. But that was fine!" - more on this story
