Pearl Jam's Birthday Jam

Pearl Jam are celebrating their 20th anniversary this week, marking their Off Ramp gig in Seattle on October 22, 1990 as the starting point to their career.

"It was 20 years ago, last night, our group played our first gig," said Eddie Vedder. "I wouldn't mention it, but only because, if we wouldn't have had the help or assistance or the comradely with a certain guy, I guess we would have made it for about 5 or 6...if we wouldn't have had our Uncle Neil looking after us."
