The Victorious Secrets Win MTV Band Search
. Fans voted for their favorite submissions, and four deserving and distinctly different bands progressed to the semi-finals, with the fittingly-named The Victorious Secrets, eventually emerging as the grand prize winner. The Victorious Secrets play pop rock with a tongue-in cheek attitude. Although the group is new, its members have been involved in the local Detroit music scene for years and have performed at events including SXSW and Purple Door Festival. As they cemented their style, their Detroit following grew. Theyve performed at notable local venues including The Fillmore Detroit and Comerica Park. Having known each other for seven years, The Victorious Secrets have built their band on strong friendships. They have a unique sound, and give a captivating live performance. In one summer, The Victorious Secrets went from being a local Detroit garage band to being the winner of a nation-wide band search whose commercial will air during one of the largest annual events for MTV. MTV helped promote all voting throughout the band search and invited The Victorious Secrets to join the VMA tour stop at Chicago's Six Flags on August 22. MTV will premiere the bands first national ad set to air during the broadcast of the 2010 MTV Video Music Awards on September 12, and the band will be on-hand to walk the red carpet at the annual event.
