Weezer Hurley Leak

Weezer's new album Hurley is set to hit stores next Tuesday (Sept 14th) but they are giving fans a week long preview of the effort by streaming the entire new album on Myspace.

Gibson reports that Hurley is a bit of a landmark for Rivers Cuomo and company. After leaving Geffen Records (following 16 years with the label), the band signed with punk indie label Epitaph. If the bouncy, pop-punk single "Memories" is any indication, the album will return Weezer to the rawer, power pop sound of their early music.

Of course, Weezer will be celebrating their early albums this fall, when they play all of their 1994 debut album (or "The Blue Album") and 1996's Pinkerton in concert. However, no official dates have been announced yet. - more on this story
