(Gibson) Next month My Morning Jacket have a five-night New York City residency planned, during which they will perform each of their studio albums in their entirety one a night. Guitarist Carl Broemel told Spin.com that it won't be an easy undertaking. "I'm really looking forward to it, even though it is kind of a daunting project," he said. "We have a huge list of songs we need to work on. The actual albums themselves will be the easy part. Super old EP stuff or covers we haven't played in years that's where the real work is involved. We're going to get together for a few days and make our master plan for those nights."

The Kentucky-based band begin their stint at Terminal 5 on October 18, when they will perform The Tennessee Fire. Then there's At Dawn on October 19, It Still Moves on October 21, Z on October 22 and Evil Urges on October 23. Broemel said the first show will be the trickiest. "The first night will be the hardest, as far as getting songs together that we've never played before, but I think we've pretty much played everything once," he said.

The guitarist also said that MMJ will convene for a month before the end of 2010 to finish work on their sixth studio album, likely due in 2011. - more on this story
