The Flaming Lips Musical Coming
. Frontman Wayne Coyne told Billboard.com that the Lips are working with Broadway director Des McAnuff (The Who's Tommy, Jersey Boys) on the psychedelic project. "It'll be a big chunk of Flaming Lips music, probably about 30 songs," Coyne said. "It's a big deal. It's hokey and wonderful and poignant and powerful. It's really become a perfect combination of my fantastical robot-world vision and [McAnuff's] little, internal, humanistic version of what that music is. I really believe it could work and luckily I don't have to do much!" more on this story Gibson.com is an official news provider for the Day in Rock. Preview and Purchase Flaming Lips CDs |
