Slash, Courtney Love, Billy Corgan On New Cherie Currie Solo Album

(Gibson) Former Runaways singer Cherie Currie is working on a new solo album, her first since 1980. Her partner in crime for the untitled disc is Velvet Revolver drummer Matt Sorum, who is producing the record.

Sorum recently spoke to VH1 Radio about the project and revealed some of the famous musicians (including a couple of the drummer's Velvet Revolver/Guns N' Roses bandmates) who are contributing to Currie's album, due out in the spring.

"It's sounding great... I'm really excited about that," he said. "Slash played on it, Duff [McKagan] played on it. I got Billy Corgan on a track, The Veronicas are coming in, Juliette Lewis, Courtney Love…" more on this story
