Klinghoffer, who replaced guitarist John Frusciante in 2009 after he elected not to return following the Chilis' two-year layoff, says: "It came almost out of nowhere. But it seems pretty open, pretty apropos to where the band is." Kiedis adds: "The first time I heard a non-one-of-us mention it, it gave me the best feeling you could ever imagine. Unbeknownst to me the news had hit the radio. Some kid came up to me and shook my hand, and he said, 'I'm with you.' I was like, 'Why are you saying that? Where did you hear that?'
