Ra Ra Riot And More For The Free Make Music Pasadena Festival
. The 2011 festival line up featuring performances by Best Coast, The Morning Benders, Ra Ra Riot, Hello Seahorse!, Zola Jesus, Kisses, Ben L'Oncle Soul, and many more. The event takes place on Saturday, June 18 from 11 am until 11 pm throughout Downtown Pasadena. A list of confirmed acts follows. The final Make Music Pasadena line up will total over 100 bands and include more than 100 free concerts throughout Pasadena showcasing Grammy-award nominees, platinum record artists, and home grown and emerging talent. This free all-day, all-ages music festival will feature an adventurous mix of over 500 professional and amateur musicians performing in more than 30 impromptu public spaces including city buses, alleys, courtyards, churches, and libraries, etc. throughout Downtown Pasadena. This year's line up is the most dynamic to date offering everything from indie rock, World, Latin, Jazz, Reggae, singer-songwriter, soul, and a lot more. The event hosts a variety of genres and musicians appealing to people of all ages. Bands from more all over the world will be playing in the crowned city to usher in the summer solstice. Make Music Pasadena aims to popularize musical practices for all ages and from all cultural and social backgrounds.
