Thin Lizzy Recruit Guns N' Roses Guitarist For Judas Priest Tour
. Thin Lizzy has enjoyed a major resurgence over the last year, playing to packed houses all over the U.K., and MelodicRock.com reports they are set to bring their assault to the States with their most formidable roster in years. Led by a trio of long-time Phil Lynott-era Lizzie alumni, guitarist Scott Gorham, drummer Brian Downey and keyboardist Darren Wharton, the current line-up is rounded out by singer-guitarist Ricky Warwick (The Almighty) and Guns N' Roses' axeman Richard Fortus, who takes over for Vivian Campbell, who has just rejoined Def Leppard for the Lep's massive North American tour. "We love playing in the U.S.A., and it will be great to show the rest of the States what we are made of," the California-born Gorham said. "We are all fired up and ready to kick some [expletive]." more on this story Gibson.com is an official news provider for the Day in Rock.
