Big Deal Sign Big Deal with Mute
. Intrigue has been swirling around Big Dealsince the band's first track "Homework" was released late 2010 on a limited edition hand-painted seven-inch. Uncut magazine in the UK describes the sound on the track as, "coming across like The XX after gorging on John Hughes movies." Check out the video for Big Deal's "Homework" on the band's YouTube page or stream the track via Soundcloud. The combination of sparse interweaving lo-fi guitars, emotive lyrics, and lack of percussion create a sound that is sweet, seductive, and alarming. Understated and discreet, it feels like a love note passed between classes. You can expect more of the same on their debut album. Big Deal is KC Underwood and Alice Costelloe.
