Furthermore, he gave fans in California an even bigger shock earlier this week when he announced at the last minute that he would play two sets Wednesday night at the 500-capacity Troubadour club. more

(BW&BK) Dio Disciples � featuring former DIO members Rudy Sarzo (bass), Simon Wright (drums), Craig Goldy (guitar) and Scott Warren (keyboards) - have added Italian and Spanish dates to their European tour. Frontman Tim �Ripper� Owens will be stepping away from the tour at this point to attend to his daughter's wedding, so the band has announced that DORO will be filling in for him on these dates. more

On this day in 1969, The Who�s Pete Townshend spent the night in a U.S. jail for assaulting a man during a Who gig at The Fillmore East. What Townshend didn't know was the man who jumped onto the stage was a plainclothes policeman trying to warn the audience that a fire had broken out. Townshend was later fined $30 for the offense.
