Elton's Candle In The Wind Turned Into Bastard In The Sand For Bin Laden
. Inspired by the recent news regarding the demise of Osama Bin Laden, Short took a page from the Elton John songbook "Candle In The Wind" and turned it into a song about the al-Queda leader. Appearing alongside singers dressed as Navy SEALS, "Bastard In The Sand" lampoons the international villain, including the chorus: "It seems to me you lived your life like a bastard in the sand.
