Singled Out: Dischordia's Creator, Destroyer
. Our new EP's title track, "Creator, Destroyer," was the first song we wrote after our vocalist, Josh Turner, joined the band. He presented a rhythmic idea based on his experience in marching percussion. The main riff is a 7/8 sextuplet figure layered over two different 4/4 drum ideas. Our drummer, Josh Fallin, took the initial idea and ran with it. He and Keeno then met up soon after and finished the song in a night. Keeno then wrote the lyrics within a week. Musically, this is easily our heaviest and most straightforward, death metal type song. Lyrically, the song is based on Keeno's personal, spiritual journey; namely his questioning of faith. The song itself is one our favorites in that it came together so easily and is a departure from our other material. Hearing is believing. Now that you know the story behind the song, listen for yourself right here!
