Metallica Corporate Gig Ok With Biographer

. (RockAAA Blog by Mick Wall) I have to laugh at the various 'outraged reports' currently doing the rounds re Metallica's recent corporate gig, performing last Wednesday night at the Ninth annual Salesforce.com Dreamforce convention at the Moscone Center in San Francisco.

'Corporates', as they are known in the biz, have been around longer than most of the rock bands you love so dear � are, in fact, one of the most lucrative and sought after gigs any band � and I do mean, ANY band � will willingly do.

And why not? What do you think it really is that keeps most of your household-name rockers on the road all of their lives? Love of their own music? The adoration of their fans? Be real. It's money, honey. And as much of it as possible, pretty please. more
