Anberlin Singled Out Week: Depraved
. I once heard that Eddie Vedder went into a vocal booth drunk and recorded what would become one of the biggest single on their record Vs. He just sang whatever came to mind. When Nathan, our drummer, sent me a song he had been working on to see what I thought. Just for fun, I thought I would write a few melody lines and lyrics for him and basically adopted the same Vedder style. I just sang whatever came to mind. When I sent it back, Nathan was so excited he sent it to the rest of the guys. It was never supposed to go on the record because it was just something Nate and I were doing for fun. Turned out everyone was way into it and the label wanted us to put it on the record! Hearing is believing. Now that you know the story behind the song, listen for yourself and learn more about the album and grab the tour dates where you can see them live right here!
