Staind's Aaron Lewis Scores Country Gold

Staind frontman Aaron Lewis' debut solo single "Country Boy" has just been certified gold, after selling in excess of 500,000 copies.

The song is featured on Lewis' debut solo EP Town Line released earlier this year on Nashville's R&J Records.

"This is a really pleasant surprise for me," says Lewis of the gold certification for "Country Boy." "It's the first thing I recorded as a solo artist and it's just a very honest record about who I am. It's great that so many people related to it. I'm looking forward to getting back into the studio to make a full record."

On "Country Boy," Lewis gets a little help from legends George Jones and Charlie Daniels, striking a balance between classic and modern country
