Mike Doughty Releases Double Live Album
. It was recorded on Mike's 2009 tour of the same name, where fans wrote out questions for Mike and placed them in a jar before the show. Given Mike's smart, playful audience, things get interesting quickly. There's no "What's your favorite color?" or "What's [insert song name here] about?" Rather, Mike cheekily answers questions like: "It's the zombie apocalypse. Where are you and what are you doing?"; "Would you rather play Twister with Dick Cheney or punch a kitten in the face?"; and "Can you actually name 27 Jennifers?" (This last, a reference to Mike's hit song of a few years back.) Also, Mike's sideman, Andrew "Scrap" Livingston, sings some King Diamond, as well as his own classic tune, "Keeping Watch Over Some Cow."
