The Cro-Mags founding bass player Harley Flanagan claims that he stabbed members of his former group last week in self defense.

We previously reported The Cro-Mags were set to perform at Webster Hall in New York on Friday as part of the CBGB music festival. Flanagan reportedly went backstage and allegedly cut the band's current bass player Michael "The Gook" Couls in the arm and stomach with a hunting knife and slashed William Berario (whom the New York Post reports is a member of the band) above his eye and bit him on the cheek, according to the Post.

nynatives.com report that Flanagan and his attorney have told them that "Harley was not the aggressor and any and all of his actions were in self defense." The have promised that an in-depth interview will be published in the coming days. Read their report here.
