(Gibson) Eagles legend Don Felder is ready to release his first solo album in roughly three decades. The record, titled Road to Forever, will arrive on October 9 and offer 12 tracks, all written or co-written by the songwriter. The album, which is his second solo release, also will feature guest performances by a slew of famous names: Graham Nash, David Crosby, Stephen Stills, Tommy Shaw of Styx, American Idol's Randy Jackson and more.

Felder first hooked up with the Eagles in 1974 and helped make the band a success, thanks to his mad guitar skills and songwriting talents. He actually composed the music for the band's big hit, "Hotel California." He played in the Eagles until 2001 and wrote about his less-than-friendly exit from the group in his 2008 memoir, Heaven and Hell: My Life in the Eagles, which was on the New York Times bestseller list.

Felder has booked a selection of North American shows and is gunning to add more tour dates this fall. Check out the track list for Return to Forever here.
