Adele Bumped From The Top Spot On Billboard Chart

(popmusiclife) Adele has owned the top spot on the US album charts for some time but that came to an end this week.

Last week, the UK singer's "21" marked its 23rd non-consecutive week on the Billboard 200 to become the longest-running #1 since Prince & the Revolution's "Purple Rain" soundtrack scored 24 weeks on top in 1984 and 1985.

This week, though, Adele slipped to second place behind "Wrecking Ball," the new album by Bruce Springsteen. But it was a close race.
