The Black Keys' Auerbach Produces Song For TV's Nashville
. Auerbach manned the boards for "Bitter Memory," an unreleased Lucinda Williams tune performed on the show by actress Connie Britton's character, Rayna Jaymes, according to Rolling Stone. "We wanted a wild producer," said guitarist Buddy Miller, who's overseeing the show's original music along with executive producer T Bone Burnett. Miller went on to say three versions of the song were cut a "writing" version, a rockabilly version and a version played on an Omnichord. "What TV show is gonna have an Omnichord in it?" Miller joked. "I mean, that probably doesn't happen that much in Nashville, but then, on the other hand, it probably happens more [there] than it does anywhere else is the world." The production gig is one of many Auerbach has taken on this year, including work on Dr. John's latest CD, Locked Down, and Grace Potter and the Nocturnals' The Lion the Beast the Beat. more on this story Gibson.com is an official news provider for antiMusic.com.
