Velvet Underground Dealt Blow In Andy Warhol Battle

. (Classic Rock) A New York judge has forbidden the Velvet Underground from claiming copyright infringement by the Andy Warhol Foundation over their famous banana image.

The band's lawyers say the artist's estate had no right to license the image for use in iPhone and iPad products.

But the Velvet Underground are continuing to pursue the foundation over trademark infringement.
