"But tragically, Amy seemed to fall apart under the relentless media attention, her troubled relationships, her global success and precarious lifestyle. As a society we celebrated her huge success, but then we were quick to judge her failings when it suited us."

Using footage of the singer, the doc will cover the Winehouse's life in her own words, tackling her influential music career along with the drug and alcohol problems that eventually led to her tragic demise in 2001 at the age of 27 from accidental alcohol poisoning.
