Roll Wyn James Back With New Album Despite Member's Stroke

08/08/2013
.
(The Blues) Scottish blues outfit Roll Wyn James have just released their fifth album "Unfinished Business" in spite of harpist Alwyn James' debilitating stroke.

The record's title stems from the fact that some of the music was composed just before James was rendered unable to walk, read or use his right hand.

The former schoolteacher has learned to play with just his left hand, and completed the album with assistance from bandmates Chris Agnew (bass and vocals), Paul Henderson (guitar and vocals) and Kevin Smith (drums).

Unfinished Business is the band's second album since James suffered his stroke, and the first to feature Agnew son of Nazareth bassist Pete on the microphone. more on this story
