Pearl Jam's McCready Hails Iron Maiden
. The guitarist is gearing up for touring duties with PJ as they launch their new album, Lightning Bolt. But he recently reactivated his first-ever band, Shadow, and that's got him thinking about the past. McCready says: "We were very influenced by NWOBHM bands like Maiden. I was a big Paul Di'Anno fan � it was Killers and the Maiden Japan EP we all listened to in Seattle." When Di'Anno was replaced by Bruce Dickinson, McCready stayed on board, and saw Maiden supporting the Scorpions on their Number Of The Beast tour. Beast made quite an impression on him.
