Scott Gorham Says Forget Me, Remember Thin Lizzy

(Classic Rock) Scott Gorham doesn't care if the world forgets his name � as long as it doesn't forget Thin Lizzy. The guitarist is currently touring with Black Star Riders, the band formed out of his 2010 Lizzy revamp. They're turning their minds to their second album, but Gorham isn't going to completely abandon Phil Lynott's band name, and plans to stage some Lizzy shows in 2014.

"If someone asks me, 'What's your name?' and they don't recognise Scott Gorham, well, that's fine," He tells the Independent. "If they say, 'What band were you in?' and don't recognise Thin Lizzy, now that I have an issue with. It's one of the reasons I put Lizzy back together: I was determined to raise awareness of what we achieved. For Phil to be forgotten would not be good."

Lynott died in 1986 � but Gorham has never quite dealt with his passing. He recalls: "When I heard Phil Lynott had died I could not believe it. I mean � this was Phil Lynott. He could take more drugs, screw more chicks, stay up more days in a row than anyone else. He was the guy. more on this story
