Green Day Set Broadway Idiot Documentary Premiere

As reported by Rolling Stone, the film tracks frontman Billie Joe Armstrong's entry into the world of musical theater, as he and veteran Broadway director Michael Mayer attempt to adapt Green Day's 2004 album, American Idiot, to the stage. The film chronicles the progression of the show from its original conception to opening night. Broadway Idiot isn't the only Green Day documentary set to be screened at SXSW. iQuatro!, a film that tracks the writing and recording of the band's recent album trilogy � iUno!, iDos! and iTre! -- will be shown as well. The South By Southwest Film Conference and Festival runs from March 8 through March 16 in Austin, Texas.
