. The band used the album as a way to overcome the 2010 death of Michael Been, who was involved with the band as well as Robert's father. "No one really wanted to find those words or dig in deep. So we were faking it for a while, not really digging that deep," admits bassist Robert Been. "You have to go back again and dig a bit deeper, and it was excruciating."
