(The Blues) Friends of George Ross Watt, also known as Big George and frontman of Big George and the Business, will gather in Glasgow next month to celebrate the late bluesman's life and work.

Watt died in April aged 54 after a house fire which destroyed all his belongings and put him in hospital. He'd been regaining his health since suffering a stroke in 2008.

He'll be remembered at a 12-hour event in Glasgow's Ivory Blacks on August 24, featuring Ian Siegal, John Bruce, Alan Brown, Alan Wheeler and many others. Admission will also come with something special and go towards a good cause.
