Selena Gomez Reveals New Album Details
. The album will drop the day after her 21st birthday, and Gomez said much of the music was inspired by her time filming the dark coming-of-age film Spring Breakers, released earlier this year. "I went to Ultra, which was this fun techno festival in Miami, and that inspired me for the record since I'm super into dance," she said. "I'm getting into more of my choreography, which has been fun because I don't really like working out and I think dance is a good way to stay active so I'm just going to stick with that." During her live chat with fans, she was asked to describe her album in one word and she offered two: therapeutic and confidence. "I'm in a good place and I think this album reflects that," she said. While Gomez admits that her last few records were "a little more processed," she said she had more creative control this time around and was able to go in the studio and reflect. After telling the stories behind the songs on her album, she premiered her new song "Slow Down." With a heavy bass beat, the club banger brings to mind Taylor Swift's "I Knew You Were Trouble." more on this story Radio.com is an official news provider for antiMusic.com.
