Simon Cowell Egged During Live BGT Broadcast
. The woman, Natalie Holt, took the stage while opera singers Richard and Adam Johnson were performing and began throwing eggs at the judges; Cowell, Alesha Dixon, Amanda Holden and David Walliams. Some viewers apparently might have thought it was all part of the show but the show's hosts, Ant and Dec, told the audience that the incident was not a planned part of the broadcast after Holt was dragged off the stage. Holt belonged to an act that was not part of the finals of the show, a representative for the show said in a statement and the woman has issued her own public statement as well as singers who were performing while the incident took place. "Natalie Holt (age 30) was part of the backing group for their performance, and as a result of her misguided actions the police were called," the rep said. "However, we have decided to take no further action at this stage." Holt had this to say, "I want to apologize to [opera-singing brothers] Richard and Adam for overshadowing their performance. I've never done anything like this before and in hindsight I have realized it was a silly thing to do." Finally, the opera singing brothers Richard and Adam Johnson had this to say about the incident which interrupted their performance, "It's disappointing that someone tried to sabotage our performance, but we're proud that we made it to the end of our song. Thanks to everyone for their support. We've had a great time." Watch video of the incident here.
