Civil Wars Release New Song and Plan New Album Release

. (Radio.com) Fans of the Civil Wars were surprised and devastated when the GRAMMY-winning duo (Joy Williams and John Paul White) announced their breakup last year, citing "internal discord and irreconcilable differences of ambition."

But luckily, the group's story didn't end there. Though their 'breakup note' said they would not tour anymore, there was some hope, as it did hint there might still be new music in 2013.

And that's where the good news comes in. White and Williams are moving ahead with the release of their second album. A self-titled collection, it's due to hit store August 6.

And to give fans a taste of what's to come, the group has now released the album's first single, "The One That Got Away." You can take a listen to the track here.
