Punk Supergroup the Transplants Release New Song
. With the dueling vocals of "Skinhead Rob" Aston and Rancid's Tim Armstrong backed by the syncopated beats of Blink-182's Travis Barker, the band's new album, In A War Zone, packs a punk punch with healthy dose of necessary defiance. While the album's title track offers a healthy dose of straight forward punk rock, songs like "Come Around" beckon a pop-inspired sing-along. The trio slides effortlessly into "Something's Different" taking the band into an unexpected exploration of hip-hop followed several tracks later by the hyper-produced "It's A Problem," which is quickly balanced by a barrage of traditional power punk. In A War Zone, the band's third full-length, is scheduled for release June 25 supported by an 18-stop tour mostly concentrated on the East and West Coasts (besides Detroit). Sorry fly-over states; you'll get no love this time around. Check out the new song here. Radio.com is an official news provider for antiMusic.com.
