(Gibson) Rock fans in Philadelphia were in for a treat this past Saturday (May 18), when Alice In Chains and Soundgarden headlined radio station WMMR's annual one-day festival, the MMRBQ.

It was a rare chance for rock fans to catch these two legendary bands from the Seattle scene on the same stage. But one fan in particular had an experience he won't soon forget.

Kyle Nelson was in the pit in front of the stage with a sign that said he wanted to play guitar or drums on any Soundgarden song. At first Soundgarden singer Chris Cornell reportedly shook his head no, but he changed his mind and got Kyle up on stage. The lucky fan got to borrow Cornell's guitar, and joined the band in an excellent version of "Fell on Black Days."

The Preston & Steve Show on WMMR spoke to Kyle on Monday, where he said that he had almost not gone to the concert since his friend got sick. "Now I'm getting all these band offers and stuff," said Kyle. more on this story
