Singled Out: Stardog Champion (Breaking Benjamin and Lifer)
. As far as the music goes, I remember the main riff just going through my head over and over again one morning last summer. i wasn't even playing guitar at the time. I was just sitting out on my deck drinking some coffee and I had to go get an acoustic to figure out this riff I was hearing. After jamming on it for a little the whole song just sort of happened. Lyrically it's about communication breaking down. We live in a time where we are more "connected" than ever but somehow it's never felt so disconnected. We as a society are becoming way less personal. People can't even call someone or talk face to face.it's all through email, text, and social networking sites. We need to bring back the human element to our interactions. The line "who's gonna catch us when we fall?" is in reference to the game you play where you close your eyes, fall backwards and your friends catch you. When all of your "friends" are only on a screen..Who's gonna catch you when you fall? Hearing is believing. Now that you know the story behind the song, listen for yourself and check out the video here and learn more about the band and the album right here!
