Go-Go's Vs Former Member

(Radio.com) Former Go-Go's bassist Kathy Valentine is suing her ex-bandmates, claiming that they are trying to "deprive her" of money she rightfully earned.

Before parting ways with the band (the Go-Go's cited "irreconcilable differences), Valentine was entitled to a 20 percent share of the band's revenue through Ladyhead LLC, the company that handled the band's licensing and other business affairs.

But in a complaint filed on May 24 with the Los Angeles Superior Court, Valentine alleges that the current members of the band- Belinda Carlisle, Jane Wiedlin, Charlotte Caffey and Gina Schockcreated a new company, GoGoCo Corp., to "license the band's name, brand and trademark" and deny her money.

In court documents, which have been published by The Hollywood Reporter, Valentine's lawyer states the defendants executed this plan to "freeze out" the former bassist, who played with the Go-Go's for more than 30 years. more on this story
