David Guetta Earns His First Gold Record With Nothing But The Beat

David Guetta has reached a new milestone in his career with the news that his album, "Nothing But The Beat" has given the DJ his very first Gold Album in the United States.

Gold Albums are awarded after an album surpasses sales of 500,000 units. Platinum awards are earned when the sales surpasses a million units and Diamond are for sales over 10 million.

Capitol Music Group says that the album was released in August, 2011 with re-package 'Nothing But The Beat 2.0' in September 2012 and in addition to selling 500,000 albums they have collectively sold over 12 million singles in the U.S equaling a total of 1.7 million TEA (tracks equal album) sales.

"I'm so honored that my album has gone gold in the U.S. and so thankful to all the fans that have supported me and dance music in general. Together we have created the biggest movement and community in music around the world and it is amazing!" � said Guetta

'Nothing But The Beat' has scored three top 10 singles on the Billboard Hot 100 chart: "Without You" featuring Usher (No. 4), "Turn Me On" featuring Nicki Minaj (No. 4) and "Titanium" featuring Sia (No. 7).
