Lily Allen Returns With 'Hard Out Here' Video
. This sort of gross display is all tongue and cheek with the British singer poking fun at herself, specifically her weight, noting that she "had two babies" when the surgeons say she's really let herself go during her time away from the spotlight. Yes, it's been a while since we've heard from Allen; her last release was her 2009′s It's Not Me, It's You and she appeared on Pink's Truth About Love track "True Love" last year. The song, which recalls MC Hammer's "U Can't Touch This," has Allen shouting out to her ladies: "There's a glass ceiling to break, uh huh, there's money to make." Allen is still as sassy as ever, singing a chorus of, "It's hard out here for a b****" and telling the men of the world they should "grow a pair of tits," all while showing off her twerking skills and openly mocking Robin Thicke. The entire thing points out the insanely high standards of beauty and sexuality that female artists are held to, and it truly works. Absurdity perfected captured by absurdity. Watch the video here.
