(hennemusic) KISS are leading the fan vote for induction into the 2014 Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame. Cleveland.com reports KISS has overtaken Nirvana in the Rock Hall's poll: KISS' 15.2 percent is tops, followed by Nirvana at 14.87 percent, Deep Purple at 11.89 percent, and Yes is fourth with 10.52 percent.

With more than a million fan votes cast so far, the four rock acts are ahead of fellow nominees Hall & Oates, The Replacements, the Paul Butterfield Blues Band, Chic, Peter Gabriel, LL Cool J, N.W.A., Link Wray, the Meters, Linda Ronstadt, Cat Stevens, and the Zombies.

Despite years of slamming the Rock Hall, KISS have been aggressively urging the KISS Army to cast votes for their place in the Clevelend-based institution.

In March of last year, bassist Gene Simmons told Rolling Stone, "It's become a joke. We've been thinking about it and the answer is simply, 'We'll just buy it and fire everybody.'" more on this story
