Busta Rhymes and Q-Tip Join Team Up Again for New Mixtape

(Radio.com) Busta Rhymes has been through plenty of incarnations through his 20-plus year career. But, for now, he's back on his old-school grind. Though he's signed to the distinctly new-school Young Money/Cash Money, the rapper is prepped to release a sequel to his 1998 record, E.L.E. (Extinction Level Event): The Final World Front, coming next year.

Earlier this month, Busta previewed "Thank You," a cut from the forthcoming sequel featuring YMCMB heads Lil Wayne and Birdman with a verse from A Tribe Called Quest's Q-Tip. Busta, of course, famously appeared together on Tribe's landmark posse cut "Scenario," which he performed earlier this week alongside a reunited A Tribe Called Quest at Brooklyn's Barclays Center as part of Kanye West's Yeezus Tour.

Now Busta and Q-Tip's careers become further intertwined with the announcement of the mixtape The Abstract and the Dragon, Busta Rhymes revealed Thursday (Nov. 21) on his Twitter. The title, of course, is a reference to both rappers' past albums/pseudonyms of sorts. Stream the new song here.
