Black Flag Singer Fired On Stage During Concert

(Classic Rock) Ron Reyes says he was fired from Black Flag midway through a show at the weekend. The vocalist, who was announced as part of the band's reunion lineup in January, has told how musician Mike Vallely took his microphone and told him to get off during a concert in Australia.

He believes the move had been planned for some time, but describes his dismissal as a relief and adds that things had gone badly since Gregg Ginn got the band back together.

Reyes, who originally fronted them from 1979 until 1980, says via Facebook: "With two songs left in the set Mike V comes on stage, stares me down, takes my mic and says: 'You're done. Party's over. Get off it's over.' He said something else to me, but it was a lie so I won't repeat it.

"With a sense of great relief I walked to the hotel room. They finished the set with Mike V on vocals. There is much that can and perhaps should be said, but for now I will spare you the gory details." But he continues.
